This isn't a decision I made overnight. It grew from years of real work โ building websites, optimizing systems, and running into problems that made me realize: I need to go deeper.
I started as an SEO practitioner โ helping businesses rank on Google, driving organic traffic, building web systems. But the more I worked, the more I realized that what I was doing wasn't just marketing. I was working with crawling algorithms, indexing systems, search ranking logic, and web architecture. Every major SEO decision is ultimately a computer science decision. That realization changed everything for me.
After 4+ years and 150+ projects, I kept hitting the same wall โ I could implement solutions, but I didn't always have the theoretical depth to engineer better ones. Why does a crawler prioritize certain pages? How do recommendation systems work at scale? How do you architect a web system that handles millions of requests efficiently? These aren't marketing questions โ they're computer science questions. And I want real answers.
I'm currently part of a research team working on a CS-focused study. Going through the process of data collection, analysis, and academic writing made me realize how much I enjoy structured, rigorous thinking. It confirmed that I don't just want to be a practitioner โ I want to be someone who contributes to the field with original research and deeper systems thinking.
Studying Software Engineering at BUBT โ working on projects like a full-stack Doctor Appointment Booking System using React Native, Django, and REST APIs โ showed me what production-grade software development looks like academically. MSc Computer Science abroad will let me combine this academic foundation with my real-world engineering experience to work at a much higher level.
I want to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world systems. My goal is to become a CS researcher and engineer who doesn't just understand how web systems work โ but contributes to making them better. Whether that means publishing research, building smarter tools, or leading technical teams โ MSc CS is the next necessary step in that journey.
